Broodthaers Tombstone Beach Towel
Belgian poet, filmmaker, and artist Marcel Broodthaers is buried at Ixelles Cemetery in Brussels under a tombstone of his own design. He died in 1976 in Cologne on his 52nd birthday. In the last two years of his life, the artist organized his own retrospective exhibitions in several European museums.
